I was asked where I thought technology would be in 10 years. We'll see if we can get where I think we are going fast enough. If not 10 years, then how many?
My idea of the future is that all computers, internet and TV will not be seen on a monitor or screen. All will be a virtual reality that can be accessed or moved from room to room, plane to plane, destination to destination through a very small connection device.
In the new world of virtual experience, you find when you are watching the news, you are there, standing on the sidewalk watching the action with the reporter. You are in the scene of the movie you are watching, and you may even visit family or conference meetings with individuals all over the world. They see your image in the room if you so chose and you see all of them. This would be like a virtual reality web cam, if you will.
For a price, you may virtually book and travel anywhere, experiencing the sights and sounds and smells of your destination. If you enjoy your "visit", you may always book actual travel. BTW - This does include trips into space as well as deep ocean exploration.
