I guess I need to get around to posting a blog to follow up about grandpa. He did die on May 13, 2008. This was 9 months after my visit to the hospital with him where I literally watched him, while in ICU, bargain for extra time on earth so that he could see his family one last time as he knew they were all flying to see him. It wasn't an easy time for him to endure during those last months but I know he made that choice.
I think it is fitting that I paste in the email that Grandma Betty sent around to tell the details:
Ray Angle died Tuesday, May 13,2008, in his sleep with his wife, Betty at his bedside. He has been very ill since early Sept, 2008. Hospice has been a part of his care for months. He was 92 yrs old and put up a strong fight to live. He was very confused and seemed to think his 78 yr old wife would have to go back to work if he died.He had a very large family, children, step-children, grand-children, great-grand-children, & great-great-grand-children, many nieces and nephews. His Sister-in law, Wilma Angle died 2&1/2 hrs before him.
